Default Will these exercises help ?

Hello. I am a 17 year old male football and hockey player. Currently I am in a strech of months before football starts ( late August ) and I'm wondering if this routine will help me. I have been running one lap and then doing two sets of 15 sit ups , crunhes and then leg lifts (I lay down and then lift my legs up and then down , not letting them touch the ground). This has been done for six straight days and I'm wondering if it will get me in shape for for football and eventually a six pack or so after a very long time (considering im flabby). I have been eating lots of fruits and vegetables and drinking lots of water. I am just wondering if these exercise will eventually help, or am I wasting my time ?

Thanks

YOur exercise regimen is fine for about a week....the next week you need to bring it up a notch.....and run more than one lap....try 1 1/2 ...and then do 25 jumping jacks or something...the key to a successful workout is to continue to challenge yourself. You also need to add in a series of push ups....starting out doing 25 pushups...and then continue to increase it ....but August you should be able to do 45 pushups in a minute.

You certainly are NOT wasting your time....I'm proud that you are improving your level of fitness...but you need to continue to challenge yourself....think "muscle
confusion"....your body should never be on automatic pilot when performing exercises...you should always surprise your body and yourself!!

Also...stay away from JUNK...eat only healthy nutritious foods and you will see your body transform into a lean physique !!

I hope to hear from you in August....Let me know how you are doing!

Remember to rest at least 1 day a week too!! YOu need time to recover and re-build muscle.

Keep in touch!
