Default starting over

I am 46 and would like to start over with an exercise plan. I would like to loose weight and get in better shape to feel better. I have a back problem that would probably be better if I can loose weight but after I exercise it hurts so it makes it hard to stick with things. I am looking for a plan to start me out on that will let me increase what I do as I get in better shape but that will not kill my back to start out so I can get somewhere.
